The Private Journey through Colombia's Coffee Culture package includes visits to three key destinations in Colombia: Bogotá, Pereira, and Cartagena. Travelers will spend 1 night in Bogotá, 3 nights in Pereira within the Coffee Triangle, and 2 nights in the Caribbean city of Cartagena.
Travelers will fly between the main destinations in this itinerary. After spending the first night in Bogotá, a short domestic flight will take you to either Pereira or Armenia in the Coffee Triangle. Later, you will fly from the Coffee Triangle to Cartagena. These flights are arranged to ensure a seamless transition between the diverse landscapes and experiences of Colombia.
This itinerary offers a range of accommodations to enhance your experience. In Bogotá, you can choose between a boutique hotel in La Candelaria or a stylish option in Zona G. In the Coffee Triangle, stay in a charming hacienda-style hotel or a coffee finca. In Cartagena, accommodations are available within the historic walled city or the artistic Getsemaní neighborhood. The choice of accommodation can be customized with the help of a Keytours travel consultant.
While specific meals are not included in the package, the itinerary offers numerous opportunities to enjoy local cuisine. You can savor contemporary Colombian dishes in Bogotá, try local specialties like trout with plantains in Salento, and indulge in fresh seafood or Colombian fusion cuisine in Cartagena. Optional experiences such as a traditional cooking class are also available to enhance your culinary journey.
In the Coffee Triangle, you will enjoy a guided tour of a working coffee plantation, a hike or horseback ride in Valle de Cocora, and a visit to the Santa Rosa de Cabal hot springs. Additionally, you'll participate in a hands-on coffee workshop to learn about cupping, brewing, and flavor identification. These activities provide an immersive experience into Colombia's coffee culture and natural beauty.
Yes, the Private Journey through Colombia's Coffee Culture package can be customized to suit your preferences. You can extend your stay in any of the destinations or add extra destinations to your itinerary. Keytours Vacations offers personalized travel planning, and a travel consultant can assist you in tailoring the package to meet your specific needs and interests.
On the sixth day in Cartagena, you have the option to either take a boat trip to the Rosario Islands for a day of relaxation and snorkeling or stay in the city to explore its rich history and culture. City activities include touring the Castillo San Felipe, visiting the Palace of the Inquisition, and experiencing Afro-Caribbean culture in Bazurto Market. Both options provide unique ways to enjoy Cartagena's vibrant atmosphere.
